WEIGHPACK in The Netherlands has been selected by Vale, a Brazilian mining company, as supplier for 5 large fully automatic packing lines to pack nickel products for their nickel processing plant under construction in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 

The order covers the design, production, supply and maintenance of 5 large automatic packing lines for refined nickel for the automotive (electrical cars) and stainless steel industry. 

WEIGHPACK is selected because of their unique innovative design of packaging lines for this expensive primary product. 

It will be the third nickel processing plant WEIGHPACK is supplying with their fully automatic packing lines. The machines will be produced in The Hague, The Netherlands and shipped in 15 seafreight containers to Canada. 

Fluor Canada Ltd. is the contractor for the complete processing plant with a total value of 2.8 billion USD. 

The processing plant is supposed to be in operation in February 2013. 

According to Andries Kout (CEO) from WEIGHPACK this order will support the company’s continuity in the next coming years.
